Uplifting lives charity organization (ULCO) is a community organization based in Mukono District, Mukono Municipality. The organization was established in 2022, it is located in Mukono Municipality Central division targeting vulnerable people in the community. The organization is registered as a Community Based Organization (CBO) with registration number MMC/CBO/ULCO/2087/2022.

The aim of ULCO is to find lasting solutions to the challenges facing local communities, advocate and lobby for meaningful involvement of all vulnerable persons in development, welfare and promote their human capacities.  ULCO builds the capacity of members so as to ensure that they are empowered and facilitated to participate in development by providing the knowledge.

Basically our main areas of forcus are;

1. Education support.

2. Women empowerment.

3. Counseling and guidance.

4. Feeding support.

5. Entrepreneurship and skilling.

Our Objectives.

• To establish modalities for networking among the district organizations and other similar interest groups for the promotion of equity, equality, service delivery and development in Mukono Municipality.

• To undertake activities which enhance opportunities for the country and the entire district to improve on the number of school going children and reducing school drop--outs.

• To liaise on matters of mutual concern but not limited to health, economic, education and social development.

• To create opportunities for vulnerable groups like children, youth, disabled and elderly in Mukono Municipality without discrimination on grounds of gender, religion, political affiliation and or tribes.

• To receive and administer gifts, grants, donations and lawful contribution for the vulnerable groups like children, youth, disabled and the elderly without discrimination on grounds of gender, religion, political affiliation and or tribes.
